"24": The Film Update

Just a brief report:

It was announced today that the "24" is not completely scrapped. The film was recently pulled for budgetary reasons. It was reported that the studio wanted to spend no more than $30 million on the film, but the movie's producers were estimating it to be upwards of $40 million. When the original news broke, Kiefer Sutherland, star and producer or both TV show and film, was furious. He poured his soul into the role of Jack Bauer so it would be reasonable for him to be upset about them pulling the film.

Well it was said this morning that the "24" film IS still on the schedule but now not until next year. They plan to hire a new writer to do a rewrite on the script. Apparently Sutherland has made peace with Fox and will continue to film their current show, "Touch" (airing tonight on Fox).

So it looks like there is still hope for Jack Bauer to be revived on screen and murder some bitches. You don't want to cross Bauer for to long...he'll cut you.
