My consensus:

* out of *****

The premise: A prehistoric epic that follows a young mammoth hunter's journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe.

My review: 10,000 B.C. was a major dissapointment in every way. It lacked any sort of compelling story, in fact, it lacked and sort of story whatsoever. But how much of a story can you possibly come up with for a live action movie about the prehistoric era? Sure, the time-frame works well for animated movies like "Ice Age" or even the "Land Before Time" series. But when you take away the cute little talking animals, and fill it with not so cute talking humans, you have a pretty empty film. The film looks beautiful with it's grand set designs, the wonderful special effects, etc. But there are no stand out characters, theres no character development, there's no importance here. How can you get into a movie with no story, no interesting characters? Well if you can, I'd like to know how, because this movie was pretty awful.

My advice: Skip it!
